What Our Toddler Eats for Lunch in a Week

Coming up with lunch ideas for a toddler has been somewhat challenging at times. Whereas I’m content to eat the same sandwich every day, Lee’s palette craves variety. If you’re stumped for what to make your little one (like I am nearly every day), here’s what’s on Lee’s lunch menu this week!

MONDAY

Peanut butter and banana rolled up in a flour tortilla with a side of raspberries and celery

Lee really enjoys sprinkling cinnamon onto his meals, so we spoon a small amount into an empty seasoning container for him to independently shake onto his plate.

TUESDAY

Cheese and avocado quesadilla with a side of black beans and diced red and orange peppers

WEDNESDAY

An English muffin “pizza” with fresh mozzarella and a side of strawberries and roasted green beans

THURSDAY

Semi-homemade chicken noodle soup with carrots and celery and crackers

I made a big pot of chicken noodle soup for the family since it’s been so cold. Lee is still getting the hang of using his spoon, so if we see he’s getting frustrated, we’ll plate the chicken, noodles, and vegetables and give him a baby-sized mug of broth to sip.

FRIDAY

Grilled cheese with roasted carrots and steamed peas with butter

SATURDAY

Homemade egg salad with whole wheat toast and cucumber slices

SUNDAY

Peanut butter and sesame noodles with tofu, chopped cucumbers, and sliced red peppers and topped with sesame seeds and sliced green onion

Lee takes after his dad and loves green onion. We give him a small cup of green onion to garnish his meal but he usually ends up eating it raw.
